This week one of my LinkedIn connections wrote that she got so bored during lockdown #1 that she wrote a book. My first reaction: she had time to write a book?!?!
(more…)I only met N a few months ago but from early on she became a good friend. She is bubbly, interesting, focused and her career in immunology is so wildly different to mine that I am always learning loads from her.
I first met G at a FIRE meetup, her cheerfulness and confidence makes it easy to talk to her.
A few days ago I went to a London FI meetup – as usual it was a breath of fresh air for me! Meeting like-minded people, talking openly about financial independence, and exchanging ideas in a positive atmosphere is invaluable, especially as most of us FIRE seeks tend to keep this interest a secret.
At various points in time I noticed that people underestimate me. I would come to the realisation in what appeared to be harmless conversations, but the result was that people – normally people who don’t know me well – see a very different person when looking at me.
Libraries. Does anyone not like libraries?
